Conference organized by the Hellenic Aerospace & Defense Industries Group (HASDIG) in Thessaloniki, GREECE posted at 15/12/2011


New BoD in the Hellenic Aerospace & Defense Industries Group (HASDIG)

On November 1st, 2011, elections took place during the Annual General Assembly of the Hellenic Aerospace and Defense Industries Group (HASDIG) and the elected Board of Directors, was re-formed as follows:

Chairman              : Mr. George Troullinos, INTRACOM DEFENSE ELECTRONICS
General Secretary : Mr. Demetrios Papacostas, HELLENIC VEHICLE INDUSTRY
Vice Chairman       : Mr. Konstantinos Koutsos, MILTECH HELLAS
Treasurer              : Mr. Alexandros Kantzis, MIKRON.

Members of the Board of Directors have been elected Mr. Tassos Philippakos-HELLENIC AEROSPACE INDUSTRY, Mr. Ioannis Manolemis-HELLENIC SHIPYARDS, Mr. Nikolaos Katsaros-ELEFSIS SHIPYARDS, Mr. Nikolaos Kemos-ELFON, Mr. Nikolaos Papatsas-THEON SENSORS, Mr. Alexandros Kosmas-TECHNIKA PLASTIKA and Mr. Paris Exindaris-TEMMA.

The new Board of Directors was elected to a two-year term.


HASDIG's proposals submitted to the Standing Committee on National Defense and Foreign Affairs of the Hellenic Parliament, concerning the implementation ("transposition") of the National Legislation for “Contracts of Public Procurements, Works and Services in the Areas of Defense and Security” with Directive 2009/81/EC. Hellenic Aerospace and Defense Industries Group (HASDIG) is a Member of the Aerospace & Defense Industries Association of Europe (ASD), being the National Association representing in it the respective Hellenic Industries and has endorsed the ASD Common Industry Standards (CIS), an initiative targeting to reaffirm its continued dedication to contribute to a market place free of corruptive practices, allowing all participants in the international market to compete on an equal and fair basis.
