The product portfolio amongst other includes a full range of encryption devices (the SECLINE IP for Internet Protocol networks, the SECLINE MBit High Speed Bulk Encryption Device and the SECLINE a-PLUS for secure voice and fax), the WISPR intercommunication System (Wideband Intercom & Secure Packet Radio) accompanied by the Short Range Wireless Communication LAN Network (WISPR-WLAN), the iBMS Intelligent Battle Management System, the WISPR-Net Integrated Communication System for naval platforms and the VSAT Terminal “CRONOS”. The most recent technological advancement of INTRACOM Defense Electronics regarding broadband communications is the WiWAN (Wireless Wide Area Network) system, which is an advanced secure IP radio system, capable of providing high data rate communications.


The company also participates in a significant number of Hellenic Ministry of National Defense and international programs, achieving high levels of local added value and supporting the Hellenic industrial sector by allocating a considerable number of contracts to local subcontractors. The most important of these activities include the participation in the co-production of the PATRIOT PAC-3 long range Air Defense System and the development of the respective test equipment. Recently the company has been involved in the production of PATRIOT subsystems for US Army, the United Arab Emirates and another country as well. As a result of company’s know how in the specific weapon system, INTRACOM Defense Electronics has been awarded by NAMSA a five (5) years contract for the Maintenance, Repair & Support of the European & US PATRIOT Systems in Europe. Other programs of major participation include the Phase III upgrade of the HAWK medium range Air Defense System, the CROTALE short range Air Defense System, the ARTHUR Weapons Locating System, the Self Protection System for the Greek and International F-16 Aircraft, the manufacturing of electronic modules of the AN/APG-68(V)9 radar for the F-16 aircraft to meet needs of the global market, the AGM-65G Maverick Air to Ground Missile and the PHALANX Close-In Weapon System. INTRACOM Defense Electronics also participated in the co-production of the Airborne Early Warning and Control System (ERIEYE) as well as in the co-production of various systems of the Leopard 2 HEL Main Battle Tank, which is also equipped with INTRACOM defense Electronics’ products.


The company enhances its international presence in defense, by successfully participating in multinational development and production programs, such as the IRIS-T short range air-to-air missile and the Evolved Sea-Sparrow Missile (ESSM) program. INTRACOM Defense Electronics develops data links for guided missile systems requiring radio transmission of target and control data from ground transmitter stations to missile receivers. INTRACOM Defense Electronics also participates in the Mid-Term modernization program of the NATO AWACS aircraft as well as in WEAG International research programs. Additionally, the company offers capability in maintenance, repair and upgrade of defense electronics equipment. As a result of its technological know-how, program management, quality assurance system and system development, INTRACOM Defense Electronics has established industrial agreements with leading defense manufacturers and its export activities have reached 72,6% of 2010 annual revenue in ten (10) countries.
